tony gonzalez-3-831x1024Anthony David Gonzalez, born February 27, 1976, is an American football tight-end who was a part of the National Football League (NFL), for 17 seasons. Considered to be one of the most outstanding tight ends of all time He is the NFL's top player in receiving yards and receptions from a tightener, along with ranking third overall in total receptions. Gonzalez was a part of the first 12 seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, who selected him in the first round of the 1997 NFL Draft. In the final five seasons that he was with the Atlanta Falcons. Gonzalez retired in 2013, has worked as an analyst for NFL on Prime Video. Prior to that, he was at CBS Sports, Fox Sports, and Fox Sports. Gonzalez also earned six All-Pro awards. Known for his durability and rarely fumbling, Gonzalez appeared in 270 of 272 regular season games and only lost two fumbles over 1,327 touch. He was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in the year 2019.
